Mr. Dinesh Kumar Khara

Mr. Dinesh Khara is Chairman of the country’s largest Bank – State Bank of India. Having joined the bank as a Probationary Officer in 1984, he has rich experience in all facets of Banking. Before assuming office as Chairman, Mr. Khara has held several key positions in SBI such as MD (Global Banking & Subsidiaries), MD (Associates & Subsidiaries), MD & CEO (SBI Mutual Funds) and Chief General Manager – Bhopal Circle. He was also posted at Chicago for an overseas assignment.

As Managing Director, he led the International Banking Group, Large Corporate and Treasury operations in addition to the non-banking subsidiaries of the Bank viz., SBI Cards, SBIMF, SBI Life, SBI General etc. He also seamlessly executed the merger of five erstwhile Associate Banks and Bhartiya Mahila Bank, with SBI. Additionally, he also headed the Risk, IT and Compliance functions of the bank at various points.

Mr. Khara is a postgraduate in commerce from Delhi School of Economics and an MBA from FMS, New Delhi. He is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). Mr. Khara is passionate about reading and has travelled extensively across the world.

Managing Director (International Banking, Global Markets & Technology) SBI

Mr. Challa Sreenivasulu Setty

Challa Sreenivasulu Setty joined the Board of SBI as Managing Director in January 2020 and currently heading International Banking, Global Markets & Technology wings of the Bank. Prior to the present assignment, Shri Setty headed Retail & Digital Banking vertical. He has also been heading various task forces/committees formed by the Government of India.
A Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and also, a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers, he started his career with State Bank of India in 1988 as a Probationary Officer. Across a career spanning over three decades, he has rich experience in Corporate credit, Retail, Digital and International banking and banking in developed markets.
Shri Setty has held key assignments in State Bank of India in Stressed Assets Management, Corporate banking, Mid-Corporate banking and Syndications both in India and abroad.

President & Chief Operating Officer, SBI Capital Markets Limited

Mr. Shesh Ram Verma

Mr. Shesh Verma has over 31 years of banking experience, having started his career as a Probationary Officer with State Bank of India in 1991. He has held various positions in India, across multiple functions viz., Retail Banking, Commercial Banking, Branch Banking, High Value Credit, Import Export Finance, Forex Operations, Retail Branch Head, Commercial Branch Head, Controllers of Commercial Banking Branches etc.,

Prior to assuming charge as President & Chief Operating Officer of SBICAP with effect from 23^rd May 2023, his roles included General Manager at Pune with 4 corporate branches catering 200 corporate and non-corporate customers of entire Madya Pradesh and Maharashtra (ex-Mumbai), from May 2021 to May 2023.

He was DGM in Credit Management, SBI, Corporate Centre from July 2020 to April 2021, DGM and Branch Head, CCG Branch, Nehru Place, New Delhi from June 2019 to June 2020. He was RM at Overseas Branch, New Delhi from June 2018 to May 2019 with credit portfolio of 10 large corporate customers, including 4 large PSUs.

The most challenging assignment of his career was maintaining top ranking in Business growth as well as compliance amongst all 7 zones of Patna Circle,  when he was the Dy GM and Zonal Head at Dhanbad, Jharkhand from Sept 2016 to May 2018 where he headed 4 regions having 180 branches including 3 SME Branches, 2 RASMECCS, 6 districts headquarter branches and 175 retails branches spread over 6 districts of State.

He was AGM & Branch Head for the Overseas Branch Moradabad (U.P.) with a team of 50 Officers and staff, engaged in providing entire range of Banking services to large exporters of metal and non-metal who supply handicrafts to entire world.

During the period 1991 to 2010, he had held assignments spanning various facets of Relationship Manager – Corporate customers at Overseas Branch, Kanpur, Team Leader – Credit Processing at LHO Lucknow, Chief Manager and Branch Head, Credit Specialist, Division Manager, Credit Officer, Human Resources Manager, Branch Manager and Assistant Manager – General Banking in  Kanpur, and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

He is B.Com with Master’s degree in Economics, CAIIB Part I & II and holds Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Advising, AMFI, MSME, General Insurance, AML & KYC .

Mr. S.V.Sastry

Mr. S V Sastry, a graduate in Science from Government College, Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) joined State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer on 01st October 1985. He retired from the services of the Bank on 30th September 2022 as Deputy Managing Director (Global Markets). During his career spanning 37 years, Shri Sastry held various assignments in the Bank-both in India and abroad.

Mr.Sastry was MD & CEO of SBI DFHI Ltd., a subsidiary of the Bank and a Standalone Primary Dealer between November 2017 and May 2020. Thereafter he moved to head the domestic treasury operations of State Bank of India as DMD (Global Markets). For a major portion of his career in the Bank, he was associated with the markets both forex as well as Rupee.

Independent Director

Mr. Anshuman Tripathi

Mr. Anshuman Tripathi joined SBICAP Ventures Limited (SVL) in January 2023 as an independent board member.

He has a wide breadth of experience across international markets. Over the decades he has worked with emerging technologies, Fortune 500 companies and circular economy MSMEs. He has also been a project lead with Stanford University’s elite Alumni Consulting Team (ACT). ACT focuses on strategy consulting for corporate boards in the San Francisco Bay area. Mr. Tripathi specializes in growing entrepreneurial ecosystems across sectors, worldwide. As an impact entrepreneur, he co-founded a circular economy startup in the United States and grew its operations internationally. He also has global consulting experience in defense, aerospace, semiconductors, public policy, entrepreneurship and social innovation.

On the investment side, Mr. Tripathi focuses on startup and MSME investments from government grants to venture capital. Furthermore, Mr. Tripathi has been an advisor to large fund managers worldwide on emerging technologies. Mr. Tripathi is a Sloan Fellow from Stanford Graduate School of Business, California, with an extra certification in public policy and social innovation. He is also a graduate in Computer Science from University of California, Irvine, California.

MD & CEO

Mr. Prem Prabhakar

Mr. Prem Prabhakar has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer at SBICAP Ventures Limited (SVL) in June 2024. Prior to his appointment at SVL, Mr. Prabhakar was the General Manager in State Bank of India (SBI).

Mr. Prabhakar has over 24 years of extensive experience in the banking sector. He has handled assignments both in India and overseas across various functions. His assignments include being the Deputy General Manager (B&O), where he managed retail business and operations. His expertise lies in treasury operations, where he has more than 12 years of experience covering forex, money markets, derivatives, resource management, ALM, and risk management of interest rates, liquidity, funding, etc. He has also held significant positions such as Chief Dealer (Forex) at SBI Global Markets, Mumbai and Chief Dealer at SBI New York. Additionally, he served as a director on the board of Jharkhand Rajya Gramin Bank, a Regional Rural Bank.

Mr. Prabhakar is a postgraduate in humanities and holds the Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) certification.
