Mr. Suresh Kozhikote, Managing Director & Chief Executive Office
Mr. Suresh Kozhikote has been appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Office at SBICAP Ventures Limited (SVL) in June 2020. Prior to his appointment at SVL, Mr. Kozhikote was the General Manager- Private Equity at the State Bank of India (SBI) Corporate Center, Mumbai.
Mr. Kozhikote has over 33 years’ experience in banking, having started his career with the State Bank Group in 1987. Mr. Kozhikote has handled assignments both in India and overseas across various functions. He has been in treasury operations for more than 18 years – from a Forex dealer to Head – Treasury. His assignments include Vice President (Treasury) at SBI Central Treasury Hong Kong, Dy General Manager at State Bank of Patiala as Head of Treasury and then as Head of Retail Operations covering Delhi NCR, Haryana & Rajasthan. Also, as Dy. General Manager (Taxation), he was in charge of GST project in SBI. As General Manager- Private Equity, he managed SBI’s portfolio of Private Equity, Strategic Investments and Investments in AIF.
Mr. Kozhikote is a Commerce Graduate, a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and has a Diploma in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management.
Ms. Preeti Patle is the Office Manager for the Investment Manager and joined SVL in August 2017. Preeti has around two decades of work experience in the hospitality, power and the Investments/Financial Services sector as an HR & Admin professional. She is B.A. graduate and an M.B.A. in HR from Mumbai University.
Prior to joining SVL, she was working with different group companies of the Patni Group
Anuja Ghosh – HR Head
Anuja – Anuja has close to 15 years of holistic experience in managing Human Capital across functions like talent acquisition and leadership hiring, talent development & succession planning, Organization development and change management, compensation & benefits management to name a few. She started her career in the insurance industry, working with Tata AIG General Insurance Company, later moved to India Ratings & Research Pvt Ltd, a Fitch Group Company as the Head Human Resource, India. She has more than 10 years of experience in leadership role as head of the human resources function and has been part of various committees like Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) as the Presiding Officer and Executive Management committee of the company.
Anuja has graduated in B.Com (Hons.) from Jadavpur University and did her PGDBM in Human Resources. She has also specialised in OD & Change Management from ODA & TISS.
Ms. Ankita Shrivastav is the company secretary for the Investment Manager and joined the Investment Manager in June 2018. Ankita joins SVL with 6 year experience in compliance team for handling matter relating to Companies Act, secretarial audit, RBI matters, company incorporation, IPO and postal ballot of listed companies.
Prior to SVL, she was working with D.A. Kamat & Co. Mumbai where she performed secretarial audit and other compliance of listed companies, banking companies, government companies, unlisted public companies and Section 8 companies as per the provisions of the Companies Act. She began her career involved in preparation of documents for and conducting board meetings, RBI compliance, ROC compliance, and other regulatory compliance for clients including Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited, SBI Capital Limited, SBI Foundation, Stock Holding Corporation Limited, Aurangabad Industrial Township Limited and Indian Institute of Banking and Finance.
SBICAP Ventures Ltd. (SVL, The Investment Manager) has launched the SVL-SME Fund with an objective to bridge the equity gap in the small and medium enterprises segment. SVL considers there is a significant opportunity to create value through a well-diversified and high-quality portfolio by making private equity investments in small and mid-size businesses.
The Investment Manager is now looking to leverage the learning and experiences at Neev Fund to make further investments and promote inclusive growth by investing in SME in India across sectors.
The Fund will evaluate target Portfolio Entities that (i) are cash flow positive; or (ii) have a short path to positive cashflow; (iii) have high growth prospects; (iv) have the scope for improvement of profitability margins; and (v) intensive orientation towards improving overall Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG).
